7-22-06 Presley playing in the floor with the shifter to her little car/push toy that we got her. We had been told by daddy that she had crawled into the bathroom and grabbed mom's flat curling iron cord and pulled the curling iron off and grabbed it. She has 2nd degree burns on the whole side of her index finger on her left hand. It was really blistered. She has a very high pain tollerance, this just slowed her down a little. We attempted to change the bandage and Grandma held her wrist while mom tried to bandage it. Grandpa held the right hand and daddy wrapped his hands around her little body. Needless to say we freaked the poor baby out and did the best we could. It started coming off and instead of us trying it again, Grandma begged daddy to just take her back to the urgent care. So he did, they were going to charge them a visit because the receiptionist told the nurse she was only 6 months old and they couldn't get it changed. The nurse said, "oh, no she is not a normal 6 month old, she is doing things that a 9-12 month old would do!" So they took her back and she stood on the exam table, playing with the mirror and looking at herself while the nurse changed the bandage. No tears, nothing!!! After we saw that she was doing just fine we left and headed for home!!! Needless to say, everyone will baby proof their homes completely now. She is just learning to do things so fast. Grandpa & Grandma must get going on that!!!!
